Adventures of the cinnamon roll... just for fun

i was bored and decided to take pictures of mom making cinnamon rolls on christmas eve.

so here is the adventure of the cinnamon roll, minus the stage of making the dough. Heres mom rolling it out and putting butter on. then there's the brown sugar and the raisins.then the "Secret Ingredient". mom wouldnt let me take a picture of when she was putting it on. then the cinnamon. then you butter the pans and roll the dough. then you cut it and put it in the pan. then it goes to the oven. yum yum.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas!!!!

So... yes I thought that the Christmas party was fun and I am sorry for leaving early. I must say though the kids have loved that Flarp stuff!! Let me tell you some info about it, when left out in the air over night it can dry out. I have found this out because Ethan happend to get some into Emily's hair and I was not able to get it out until the next morning with a fine tooth comb. I am glad that I did not have to cut her hair.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas and that all is well with their families. I am happy to say no one has had their appendix out this month. I am sad to say though we had all of our gambel quail die(about 14) and some peafowls too, but for the most part the birds are doing well.
One other thing that I have noticed is, and I don't know if it is just our family or others I am not sure but has anyone recieved any Christmas card from friends or family yet. We haven't gotten any, ok one but it was from our bishopric. I am kind of sad.
Have a merry Christmas to all and to all a good New Year!!!

One way to spend a Saturday.

Well I it acually began on Thursday and Emily stayed home ffrom school because she didn't feel good(I thought it might the stomach flu) and then on Friday evening (when I went to see the Movie "twilight") she told Ivan that he stomach hurt but mostly her right side hurt. well she went to bed and woke up with still the stomach pain and it hurt worse than before and she could hardly walk and layed down curled up in my bed trying to sleep. I called the doctor and luckily they were going to be in for a few hours. 10:00 we get to the doctors and we wait. then when we do see the NP he says lets wait and see what happens. so we wait for 1hour and after a while longer he ends up calling the MD and ask his opinion because her temp had gone up and no reduction in pain. We waited a few more minutes and then they sent us to the hospital (whcih is basically in the same parking lot.) and has us check in up on the Peds floor. Anyway at about 1pm we were checked in at the hospital then we waited for the doctor on call. The nurses at the hospital were able to find some Elders ( Ivan was not able gto get there in time)so she could get a blessing before she went in for surgery and then the surgen and by 3:50 Emily was in surgery for apendicitis(?)she had her apendex out. 5:15 she was back in the room and doing and looking much better then she had more than one hour before. She came home Suday night and is doing very well. She had it laproscoped and so there are 3 small bandaids and she will be able to enjoy Thanks giving.

California...

Vacation time is so much fun. we have had so much fun. The Zoo and Sea World have been really fun to go to and the weather has been so nice. I hate the idea of coming back to cold, rain and maybe snow!!! The weather has been very nice except for one day we have been able to enjoy the sun the nice southern California weather. The kids have been good considering the fact of driving and all the walking we have been doing. Today we went to the beach and enjoyed the tide pools that were there and the many other things to do at the beach. Tomorrow is Disneyland and Space mountain, Pirates of the Caribean and to many to name. ( I have been trying to upload pictures for the last hour so I will try later.)

With a bit of luck

Yikes! Opening the pantry is a little scary at moms house. The thought of organizing it was a daunting one. As I stood in front of the pantry staring off into space, I think I heard a couple people say good luck, thats impossible. I told mom I needed some organizational stuff so I took her money and Stephanie and we headed to Savers. I'm tellin ya it was meant to be because we found everything I had in mind (talk about the laws of attraction in action!) So we found some baskets, shelfs, and a new rolling shelf for cans. I love finding good deals! With a little help Stephanie and myself were able to restore the feng shui to the pantry. oi! where do I begin!
everything now has a place

My work here is finished!

Life is going and going.

So as of yesterday My oldest son is now 11. That means that in one year I will be the mother of a 12 year old and a deacon and a young man who will be in middle school and quite possibly starting puberty. I am in aw at the prospects of all that this one boy will bring to us in the future. for example will he be a scientist (like his dad) who will find a cure for some great disease (I am legend). will he be a doctor or a lawyer( heaven forbid) will he be some one who joins the Army, or Air Force, or Marines,or Navy and protects our frail country from all it enemy's. Or his big dream of playing professional football. There are so many possibilities that this one young boy could do for us. I just want him to stay young and enjoy the time he has to be 11 and being young.

I BOUGHT IT!

So I was looking in the paper on Sunday and I found a Hobby Lobby ad. As I was perusing the ad to see what deals they had this week and since I don't or rarely ever do I get Michaels ads I thought lets see what kind of scrapbooking deals they had. Well low and behold there it was what I have wanted for a few months because I decided that I did like it after all and I actually knew how to use the thing and I had just recived my paycheck, and one more thing it was cheaper then at michaels and wal-mart(shocker) but only this week. So monday I decided to go and cash my check and get some grocery's (milk etc...) and head to Hobby Lobby. I walked in and found what I wanted and then as I was walking up to purchase my one item. I had second thoughts, but still I went ahead and bought it!!
Yep I bought a CRICKET!!! for those of you not in on the cool things of scraping it is a really fancy paper cutter.
I went to wally world to see what alphabets they had and to see it they were cheaper. well they did not have that big of selection but they were cheaper so I bought one, ( it actually comes with one alphabet cartridge) one that just has cute picture things to cut out.
Today I used it and had some fun trying to figure out how different things on the cartridge work.

p.s. only 18 more days till California!!!

23 days

Yes only 23 days and we are off to (hopefully) sunny California!!! I am very excited to go on a road trip. We the Motts haven't gone a vacation like this since Washington D.C. when Emily was 18 months old. We have been to Yellowstone but it isn't that far and we will be having grandma and grandpa and Kellee with us. I am excited to play don't eat pete and find the"licence plate" game and we will have to have red vines and starbursts with us, those are a must haves on (gardner)family vacations.
I have not been to San Diego so that is one place I that I can't wait to see. I am hoping for some nice weather so we may enjoy the beach and some nice days at Sea world and Disneyland and the other places that we are planning on visiting. It would be cool if we could blog as we go, I will have to look into that.

Tomato Basil Tart

This is such a good recipe, everyone needs to try it a.s.a.p. and let me know how you like it.  It is one of my new favs, enjoy!
1 pre-baked pie crust
1/2 c. mayo
1/4+c. parmesan cheese
1 c. loosely packed fresh basil
2-3 T. minced garlic
1 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella (Fresh is best)
5-6 tomatoes, sliced and drained
kosher salt
pepper

pre-bake crust.  Sprinkle 1/2 c. of mozzarella on warm crust and let melt.  Slice tomatoes and arrange on melted cheese/crust.  Sprinkle or grind salt and pepper on top of tomatoes.  Place or spoon fresh basil and garlic uniformly on tomatoes.  In a bowl, combine parmesan, remaining mozzarella and mayo.  Spoon and evenly spread mixture on top of basil/garlic.  BAke at 375 for 35 minutes---begin watching it at 25 minutes!  YUM!!!!!!
side note:  the pre-shredded cheese didn't melt as well, so if you use fresh it would be all the more better!

Your eating what

speaking of tongue, do you ever find yourself talking to friends and saying "ya for sunday dinner at our house we had cow tongue" and then seeing the ghastly appalled faces reassure them that it wasn't too bad.  Do you remember we used to eat shark?  And pig liver or some kind of liver, I am suprised we survived.   can you just picture two little kids sayin; what are you havin for dinner?  oh we're havin spaghetti again, what are you having?  cow tongue and pig liver.  ha ha just kidding.  i actually used to like cow tongue,  i'm not sure if i could stomach it now that i'm older and wiser :)  good times, good times!

No Bake receipe

Since my recipe for no bakes got mentioned and I occasionally get calls asking how do I make them I thought I would through together the recipe as well as some interesting factoids on their development.
I started making them as a poor starving nursing student who had to ether eat at the hospital cafeteria or make his own. Not having had cooking lessons like Mom tried to do with you I ate the two things that I had learned to cook from my Mom, no bakes and Mac and Cheese with Velveeta cheese. I never made no bakes into cookies but had a Pyrex 9x13 pan that I would grease and mash them into a big solid chunk and cut them into bars as I would eat them during the week. I figured that I was getting my veggies (chocolate) grains (oatmeal) and then would fix a hamburger or mac and Cheese for my starch and protein. When I first started dating your mother she asked what was my favorite cookie and outside of chocolate chip oatmeal raisin, no bakes was at the top of the list. So one day I get a package with crumbly light oatmeal covered in what looked like milk chocolate. You see your mom didn't have any dark baking chocolate but had Nestles quick and tried to make it using that as a replacement. I will say this that 1. because I truly love your mother I ate them and 2. That is the only thing that she has made in the 35+ years that she has made things for me that I haven't totally enjoyed what she has cooked for me. I figure that isn't a bad record as she has cooked a lot of meals for me and you guys and they always seem to come out tasty. ( I would have never thought I would like tongue but I do)
Now how have I come upon the recipe for No bakes, they came from a cook book the ladies of the Moose lodge put together in Quincy. I have tried to perfect it by changing from Crisco to margarine, and ether use a thermometer or time the amount of time that they cook to get them "just right" The thermometer seems to work the best to avoid the too gooey stage but without a thermometer I cook the sugar, milk, margarine, salt, vanilla mixture for 3 minutes at medium boil. then add the dry ingredients and put onto waxed paper to cool.
Ingredients are:
3 cups of Oatmeal ( I also have mixed 1 1/2 cup each quick and regular together as straight regular seems to make them dry and straight quick makes them gooey)
1/2 cup of baking choco powder
Mix these in a bowl and add to the other ingredients after boiling
Mix in sauce pan:
1/2 cup milk
1 cube margarine
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla (less if you use mexican vanilla)
1/8 teaspoon salt
Cook on stove top until at least 110-115 degrees F. or 3 minutes different stoves reach the temperature faster/slower and boiling for 3 minutes seems to make a reasonable cookie.
Now that you have the family secret (oops) recipe you can try it and let me know how it works. For choco-hollic's having them a bit gooey just means you get to lick your fingers more. They seldom make it past the first day and if they do they always have dried enough to not be too messy. So enjoy Maybe I'll make them along with Kellee's chinese chooies.

Happy Birthday Savanah

So i am late posting this but my baby girl is now a year old.  I remember thinking when she was born what a long time a year is, and now it has come and gone.  Looking back with Makayla, time seemed much slower.  I remember each milestone in that first year, and with Savanah I feel like I blinked and she is one.  Maybe it is the fact that I had all day to stare at Makayla, and the pace of life was a bit slower.  I am doing my best to enjoy every minute of their growing up because as I am learning it goes by in the blink of an eye.  I'm actually not having a hard time with getting enough pictures of Savanah because she is so adorable. I might be more guilty of getting too many of her...which isn't really a problem, I think.  Savanah has been our little angel.  She has such a fun personality that we see more of each day.  She loves being around Ben and Makayla and she absolutely loves it when Ben takes her for rides on the rhino.  It was so funny to see her the other day fighting over it with a neighbor.  Emma who is three and Savanah, were each trying to get in the rhino.  I have to say for a one year old she put up a pretty good fight!  Another thing I love about her is she is very assertive and is very good at letting you know what she wants.  Every morning when she wakes up we sit in the rocker and she drinks her bottle.  One morning I didn't have the bottle ready before she woke up and I started to walk downstairs to make it.  She started squealing (the dogs outside started barking it was so loud) and was pointing to the chair.  I would walk back to the chair and she would smile.  I've had to learn to make bottles at turbo speed to appease the shrill scream!  She is such an animated and dramatic little girl already, it makes me wonder what the future will bring.  One thing is for sure, everyday no matter how many "incidences" we may have, I get a smile on my face when I peek in their rooms and they are fast asleep.  I think of the story by Robert Munsch, I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be.  Happy first birthday Savanah!

background??

Ok just something that I noticed. I don't know if anybody elses blog page on their computer looks like a light blue background and white text and light green others. well if that is how the others look and it is not just on mine. If someone out there that knows how to change it would you please change it to that I can read it. Thanks.

Kids!!!!

Does anyone want to take my kids for me? If you want them I can get them to you right now I will meet you in 1 hour!!
It has been one of those mornings. it started out nice and for the most part un eventful. Then the kids got up. First Jon then Ethan and a few minutes later Emily. They watched a movie and I read a book. ok not so bad yet. Then they decided to each call a friend to come over and play. noone was home or it was busy. and It is also lunch time . That is when all Hell broke out. The kids decided to play cars in the kitchen and Emily didn't the car she wanted from Jon. Then they started to nit piking at each other ( he said he would and she said she would) I want this and I want that. aaaagggghhhh! so I took the cars away that stoped that for 5 min. then they started it again. about something different. then the subject changed again. Now Jon sayst"there is nothing to do in this stupid house" I told him to go out side "theres nothing to do outside either"I decied that I have had enough and if anyone who would like to take my kids you can take them for at least the day. or overnight. I do want them back but just not for today. On top of that I have had the hardest time typing and spelling. If I did't correct all my spelling errors you would be saying I did't understand a word you just said. (im not joking either)

Not without my purse!

While she is sleeping

Watching signing time

Giddy up horsie

With Aunt Jenn

Hailee has a new facination with purses. It started on Sunday when she wanted to haul around Heath's scripture case and cried when Heath took it away to empty it, so it would be light enough. Then she found this bottle insulator and would not let go of it. I was feeding her a bottle the other day, and she fell asleep clutching it, I tried to take it away and she woke up, grabbed it, then fell right back to sleep. At Grandma's house it was the story, but luckily Mindy found a pretty pink bag for her. It took some convincing but she likes it now too. I tried to show her how to put the purse on the horses handle and still hold on, but she wasn't having that!

Ideas for shaving

It has been brought to my attention that at least one of my daughters want to "play" with my beard before it gets cut totally off. meaning I guess a goatee, or other such trims prior to cutting.
Mom has also stated that she will cut my hair to any length except Buzz so here is my question to all. Do you want this event video taped? and if so is anyone willing to come and assist? The same goes for the hair, my preference is short without any comb over, but unless I do it myself it won't happen. So now is the time to step up and get a chance to cut dads beard and hair, any takers?
Love Dad

so i got some administrative power on sunday from becca, and was wanting to use some of it :D. one thing i would like to do is work on the playlist at the bottom of the blog. delete the songs that dont work, and put some new stuff on there, but in order for it not to be a kellee playlist, i would appreciate if you could in the form of a comment or an email let me know what you would like on there, if this could be done before the 27th, that way we all have time to do what we need :D. after that i will still occasionally take requests for new songs, but i would like to have a good list by the 27th. most of you have my email and so you can just email it to me. thank you for your cooperation.

POOL

Hey hey hey we have a swimming pool. Not the little blow up can't breath when you are done type pool. It is a nice metal frame 15' x 48" big pool!!! So if any one wants to come and try it out you are more than welcome.
You ask why. well the kids have been begging to go swimming since school got out and something has comes up. Also to drive to Logan where they want to go costs more money because of gas and then it costs us 20 to 25$ a pop depending on if Ivan comes or not.
We have thought about it for some time and then we saw a friend who had one and they looked pretty nice and not to complicated, so Ivan looked them up on the internet and did a little research on which would be the best one for us so we decided to get one.
We also had to figure out a place to put such a big thing. Well we decided to move my firepit area to a different area of the yard. and put it in the front corner of the yard. The pool that is(where the sun would be on it all day).
So now the kids can go swimming anytime they want (after they do some chores) and I wont need to come up with any excuses except for "you need to do your jobs first!"

p.s.

So since it has been so long since you have had a good shave I found a cool website with a lot of helpful information there. schick.com. Did you know that the average human face contains 615 hairs per square centimeter? I learned that on the website, go check it out!

So easy even a cave man can do it

So I think I am really funny, but it is 11:30 at night. I had this epiphany to put a countdown clock on the blog about dad and the big day for cutting his beard. I was trying to come up with a title for it like when Harry met Martha or something. and like i said it must be really late because i need a tissue to wipe the tears from my eyes I think I am so funny. I think we should have a big celebration bbq. Maybe we could get in on a bic commercial or something! Dad I would like to thank you for giving us something to talk about for the last year...so what are you going to do for next year? Handle bar mustache maybe? Grow your ear hair out? Shave an S in your chest or back hair. The possibilities are endless. I would just like to say kudos to you for puttin up with all the teasing and I hope ya know we love ya!

Happiness is...

I thought that I would write a few things and tell you what has been going on this week while I have a few minutes to spare. Emily has been sick for a few days, well nine to be exact. She has had a fever cough and she has been pale and not eating a whole lot of anything. Well I think that she is finally getting better. Slowly but surely we will see tonight if she has a fever or not. She is a great girl she likes to be where her mom is all the time. She and Ethan play well together so I don't usually have to worry about them.
Ethan has been my kid with the most memeorable quotes. such as I did't want meat when he has ordered a hamburger, or (almost in tears) there is dirt in my eggs, it was just pepper. and one of my favorites why did god give you boobs. The other day when I was at mom's I asked him why he was wearing sweat pants when it was hot outside and I said he was crazy and his reply was "Im not crazy im just weired." Mom and I got a kick out of that.
Jonathan is growing up and im very sad I keep telling him to stop growing he just laughs at me. A few months ago he told me ha had hair growing under his arms he said I have one under this arm and two under this one. Now he is going into 5th grade and that means one more year and it is into middle school. I can't believe it.
This year is our 14th wedding anniversary and that is so cool. and I am going to be 34!! I am so happy to be where I am. On a farm, with lots of peafowl, two steers, sheep, geese, pheasants, turkeys, chickens that lay huge brown eggs, cars that are all payed for; and that will hopefully last for a few more years, A house that I am glad we got it when we did, 3 great kids, and a great husband. In Idaho on seven and half acres where I can see on a clear night the Logan Temple! I never thought that this is where I would be.
This blog-spot started out to be something totally different but now you know how I feel about where I am.
P.S. You are all invited to come and visit Mott's Bird Farm any time you want. It takes excatly two hours and twenty minutes from moms house. So calculate from there. It is a pretty drive especially if you go through Clarkston(which you have to for a few months) or through Logan.

Boys Bugers and Bodily Functions

I don't know what it is with these three things but they just seem to go hand in hand. Last night Mike and I were watching a movie together when Ben showed up. He was really quiet at first, but since we didn't kick him out right away he thought he was safe to be himself. First he tells me to move over, and then makes himself comfortable. Then he decides he wants the middle so he tells dad to move over. Mike moved closer to me and thwarted that plan, so of course he comes back to my side (moms are a little more lienient, did i spell that right sister teachers?) As i was enjoying the movie Ben put his finger under my nose and said mom smell this. Whoa! what is it, said I. It's a buger, do ya wanna eat it? MMMM, how about i save it for the after movie snack...sick ben, no i don't want to eat your buger! The day before that he went poop in the toilet (and there was much rejoicing in the land) and I hear him say mom you gotta see this, it is really cool. Ben it's poop. ya mom it's really cool. I can only imagine what is going to happen when he becomes a teenager.

Camping stories

When we would go camping I was often tired from getting off work or setting up camp. When you as young kids would ask for a bedtime story I often thought of the "spooky" stories that I could tell but didn't want you to be up all night and keep Mom and I awake as you sometimes did anyway. So I tried to tell the story of Hansel and Gretel which if you read Grimms fairy tales is kind of a scary story. I remember my mother telling me the story when I was young and it seemed to be different than the book of fairy tales that we had. So I figured that I could make it fit between Grimms version and some of the other versions that I had read and seen on tv. Telling it differently came about because I would forget how I told it the first time and would change things a bit sometimes to see if you were paying attention.
You have to blame your Grandmother Elma for the Jack and Nori story. She used to tell me that when she sent me to bed and I would want a bedtime story. Most of the time that was all I got as I figure she was tired or didn't want to read a story to me at the time. But she used to tell us pretty spooky stories the few times that we went camping as a family, I remember it scaring my Dad. She always wanted to write her stories but never did that I have found.
I just hope that you tell your kids stories when you go camping or put them to bed, as you can see it made an impression on you. I just wish I would have told you other stories. course then you wouldn't have remembered Hansel and Gretel or Jack and Nori.
Love Dad

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

ok, there is what i consider a pretty good reason why you don't get many comments from me. you may not consider it a valid reason, but here goes.

i try to comment, type in appropriate letters and id and it doesn't work, so i try again and again same results.
i type the same info that is required to do this and gosh darn it, it works! go figure.

anyway, my point is i do try. i know i am not the most sought after commenter but i do like to stay in touch with people.

Two reasons...

I want to ditto Jenns comments, and sorry they are late. Though it's never too late to receive a complement right? One of my favorite memories from growing up is going to different caves or spalunking as i just found out that is called. And all the fun road trips we went on. I remember waking up or actually being woke up before the sun was up and heading out on vacation. And our blue family van, and hangin out in the "back, back." I think Hansel and Gretal was my favorite story for two reasons (ha, ha) first because it was tradition, and second because it was different every time. Dad I love you so much. Thank you for the faith you shared with me, your example, and love. Ben wants to add a few thoughts...benbenmakaylabene (he did that all by himself, he even spelled them by himself! We love you dad!

Happy Fathers Day!!

I would just like to say Happy Fathers day to you DAD. Thank you for all you have done for me. The help for when my kids are sick, the memories of fun vacations we went on when we were younger especially the cave trips ie.. Lehman Caves, Carsbad Caverns. Also Yellowstone, and the many camping trips.
Thank you for teaching us many things about life and the gospel. Telling us storys at night, one of my favorites is (well I have 2), 1st is about Jack Anori(im not sure on the spelling) and 2nd is Hansel and Gretel.
Thank you for everything.

Summer Fun!!!

Ok, it is summer time and we are off and running. Last week the kids had there last day of school(may23) and it was Ivans Birthday (36)and last but definatly not least we drove to Vernal via Wyoming(7 hours). It was the Wardell reunion, we had a nice time. Then the kids and I spent the week out there helping Connie with 3 of Nichole's kids, she just had #5 two weeks ago his name is Dash, he is very cute and lots of long dark hair. and getting ready for Weston's wedding that was on Saturday 31st. The wedding was very nice, her dress was very pretty and it was very beatiful weather for a wedding.
Now we(me and the kids) are home and Ivan is in Dallas until Wednesday. On Saturday I fly to Georgia to visit some friends. The kids will be staying at moms for the week(thurs). Then when I get home the 20th we go back out to Vernal for another reunion. We hope to get a sprinkling system into the back yard sometime in there. Our plan is to have a nice flat back yard with grass you can walk on. Our fruit trees that we planted last year have fruit on them. I hope that the birds don't eat them before they get to big. well I just realized that I haven't written my newsletter page so I better not write any more. But I hope Everyone has a GREAT summer.

Dance til ya drop!

This last weekend Makayla had her Ballet dance recital. She was a dodo bird in the story Alice in Wonderland. She did a wonderful job and had a great time dancing on the stage as always. Grandma and Aunt Stephanie came up to see her dance. It was so fun to have the family up here for the weekend. I can't believe how big Hallee is, she is growing so fast!!!

downstairs update-end of may

dad and mom have been working on the downstairs. dad has done more sheetrock in the storage rooms. dad needs to take the time to label wires for the computer and who knows what else, then he can finish the sheetrock in there. the furnace room is done as far as the putting up goes. i don't know if we will tape and mud it.
the bath has the surround up and now we can work on the floor. that really is the next project, along with the baseboards.
when kellee gets home or has time maybe we will send pic's.

Newsletter news

I realize that we are all doing pretty good at posting on the family blog. BUT i would still like to do a family newsletter. So if you would like to contribute...it's that time again. Please e-mail them to me by the end of May! Heath and I count this as part of family history/journaling, so it would be nice to hear from everyone...including those that don't donate to the family blog.

Ok, I am a BIG fan of the Indiana Jones movies. Here are 2 reasons, they are good movies and of course Harrison Ford is awsome!! Next Thursday(22nd) is the Big movie day!! Ivan and I have tickets for opening night( with popcorn and lots of butter and drinks already ordered) !!!! We have never gone to an opening day and I am SSSSOOOOO excited!!!! Ivan and I went to opening weekend of Bourne Ultimatum and we got there late. Big mistake, we got the 4th row from the front and it made us nausiated.
so I want to know who else is going and what they think of the movie after it is out.

Happy Mother's Day

Mom,
I just wanted to say Happy Mothers Day. I think that I appreciate you now more than ever before, because now I am a mom and realize what sacrafices and all the hard work you do. I can only imagine that my appreciation will grow the older Hailee gets, and the more my family grows. So thanks for all you did, do, and will yet do! I'm glad that I can call on you to babysit. I'm glad that you are there when I have questions about a sick baby. I'm glad that you taught me how to be a good mom by being a great example. So I just want to say that I am glad that you are my mom! and I'm glad that you are Hailee's Grandma. You really are the best grandma in the world!

I love you grandma

i love you grandma you are the best grandma in the whole wide world. happy mothers day! love, makayla

Happy Mothers Day

Mom I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I want to tell you how much I love you, and I want to thank you for giving me such a great example of a mother. You have instilled in me a desire to raise a family, and you have shown me how to love and teach my children. I am greatful that I can still call you for every question I have about cooking, or whatever else I need. Thank you for always being there for me and for always loving me. Happy Mothers Day mom! love, Becca.

Let's Go Girls!!!!

Ok , So my suggestion was a good one I guess. (that we all go on a shopping spree) Well I say we really do!!! We can go in July, if we plan now we should be able to ALL make it. I know that there are family reunions and things. If we plan around them we should all be able to make it. We could even do a overnighter or a weekend getaway. What do you think.
Let me know when in July would be good. We can go to Salt Lake, Boise, New York (haha)
Any other ideas?
I would really like to get together as sisters and sister-in-laws.

On another topic of getting together, We need to plan a "Gardner" Family reunion. Like go river running,(like the good old days of so long ago)Camping, Picnics in the mountains, Bear Lake!!(fun and very relaxing!!!!!) Let me know what your ideas are. And lets get together, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Lets Luau

We had a great time at Makaylas party. I was only expecting a few people to show up but we ended up having about fifteen kids plus or minus a few baby cousins and adults. Talk about mass chaos! Fifteen children running and screaming around your house. Makayla wanted to invite even more people (she actually wanted everyone to come because she loves everyone) but i had to draw the line somewhere!
