downstairs update

here are some views of the basement as of today. hopefully tomorrow they will start the taping and mudding process.

Am I hearing things...

Ok. let us try this again. I went to blog and then Ethan turned the phone on ( we have dial up) and so I had to start again and then I typed what Ethan had said then I went to look at the blog site and I heard music. Did someone put music on the bolg or is my computer making it up. I can't tell what the song is or things like that. So I was just wondering what and where it was coming from. Please let me know. I can't hardly type anymore because my hands are cold and getting harder to move. Does anybodys hands do that or just mine. Let me know on that too. and while we are at it. Teachers(Alisha, Stephanie) how do I explain to a 6 year old why the k is silent in the word know????

Ethan...

Ethan says the darndest things. The other day Ethan and I went and shopping and basically spent the whole day together and these are some of the things that he said to me. First he doesn't want to be a missionary because he doesn't want to go "teach and preach" he just want to go to all of the states in the united states. Then he doesn't want to get married because when your married you have to get dressed up. ( im not sure if he meant for the wedding or just when going on a date or things like that).
Now he is sitting here reading what I am typing about him and reading it as I go. No joke!!!
He is quite the kid.

Kids...they tell ya how it is!

So we were going to the Dentist this morning and I was trying to get Ben to buckle his seat because i was already driving and just found out he wasn't buckled. Well i guess i was talking in a loud not nice sounding voice because Makayla said "stop being such a grump mom...and stop yelling." Well there ya go. I asked her how i was supposed to get Ben to get his buckle on and all she could say was stop being a grump. So i decided to stop being a grump so i would have a better day. I am glad i have my kids to keep me inline! Makayla is happy to report that she has no cavities and her teeth are sparkley clean. Ben would like to report something if he would sit in the chair to get his x-ray pictures and get his teeth cleaned...oh well maybe next time.

News from the Halls

First I want to say thanks to Mom, Dad, Kellee, and Stephen for coming up to Easter dinner. We really enjoyed having you.
Next I want to tell mom or Kellee or whomever to be sure and update us on the basement-I want pictures of the wall and new additions and stuff.
Finally I want to let you all know if you haven't figured it out already that I have a blog too-so check it out. It has cute Easter pics!

I did it. I Can BLOG!!!

I finally figured it out. Now I can blog!!!

Ok. First thing I wanted to say since this is the first

time I could let everyone know. Thank you for coming to Emily's Baptism it was great having everyone who could come, come. We had a lot of good food and good conversation. I am sorry that everyone could not make it, we missed you.

In other news we added to our wonderful bird collection over the weekend. We now have Canadian Geese (2pair) and a pair of Mandrin Ducks.

For those of you who don't know. I have a job as an para professional(teachers aide) in the kindergarten class. which is the class Ethan is in. So I am in the school with my kids and in the same class a Ethan and he comes home with me. It has worked out well. It keeps me busy. We have 29 kids in our class there are mostly boys, so it gets kind of crazy some days. Well there you have it a short update of the Mottly Crew.

Rico Suave...or something like that!

So i was laying on the bed talking on the phone (and this is only funny if you have seen the movie Enchanted, very funny by the way) So i was talking on the phone and i hear some singing, and in comes Ben. He was singing I've been waiting for my true loves kiss. Then he climbes up on the bed and starts singing it again as he leans over me (still singing) and then gently plants a wet one right on my lips. I wish i had a camera for that moment, i was laughing so hard! what a cutie, but at that very moment i became afraid. He's only, what...three years old and he's got some pretty smooth moves!
