POOL

Hey hey hey we have a swimming pool. Not the little blow up can't breath when you are done type pool. It is a nice metal frame 15' x 48" big pool!!! So if any one wants to come and try it out you are more than welcome.
You ask why. well the kids have been begging to go swimming since school got out and something has comes up. Also to drive to Logan where they want to go costs more money because of gas and then it costs us 20 to 25$ a pop depending on if Ivan comes or not.
We have thought about it for some time and then we saw a friend who had one and they looked pretty nice and not to complicated, so Ivan looked them up on the internet and did a little research on which would be the best one for us so we decided to get one.
We also had to figure out a place to put such a big thing. Well we decided to move my firepit area to a different area of the yard. and put it in the front corner of the yard. The pool that is(where the sun would be on it all day).
So now the kids can go swimming anytime they want (after they do some chores) and I wont need to come up with any excuses except for "you need to do your jobs first!"

p.s.

So since it has been so long since you have had a good shave I found a cool website with a lot of helpful information there. schick.com. Did you know that the average human face contains 615 hairs per square centimeter? I learned that on the website, go check it out!

So easy even a cave man can do it

So I think I am really funny, but it is 11:30 at night. I had this epiphany to put a countdown clock on the blog about dad and the big day for cutting his beard. I was trying to come up with a title for it like when Harry met Martha or something. and like i said it must be really late because i need a tissue to wipe the tears from my eyes I think I am so funny. I think we should have a big celebration bbq. Maybe we could get in on a bic commercial or something! Dad I would like to thank you for giving us something to talk about for the last year...so what are you going to do for next year? Handle bar mustache maybe? Grow your ear hair out? Shave an S in your chest or back hair. The possibilities are endless. I would just like to say kudos to you for puttin up with all the teasing and I hope ya know we love ya!

Happiness is...

I thought that I would write a few things and tell you what has been going on this week while I have a few minutes to spare. Emily has been sick for a few days, well nine to be exact. She has had a fever cough and she has been pale and not eating a whole lot of anything. Well I think that she is finally getting better. Slowly but surely we will see tonight if she has a fever or not. She is a great girl she likes to be where her mom is all the time. She and Ethan play well together so I don't usually have to worry about them.
Ethan has been my kid with the most memeorable quotes. such as I did't want meat when he has ordered a hamburger, or (almost in tears) there is dirt in my eggs, it was just pepper. and one of my favorites why did god give you boobs. The other day when I was at mom's I asked him why he was wearing sweat pants when it was hot outside and I said he was crazy and his reply was "Im not crazy im just weired." Mom and I got a kick out of that.
Jonathan is growing up and im very sad I keep telling him to stop growing he just laughs at me. A few months ago he told me ha had hair growing under his arms he said I have one under this arm and two under this one. Now he is going into 5th grade and that means one more year and it is into middle school. I can't believe it.
This year is our 14th wedding anniversary and that is so cool. and I am going to be 34!! I am so happy to be where I am. On a farm, with lots of peafowl, two steers, sheep, geese, pheasants, turkeys, chickens that lay huge brown eggs, cars that are all payed for; and that will hopefully last for a few more years, A house that I am glad we got it when we did, 3 great kids, and a great husband. In Idaho on seven and half acres where I can see on a clear night the Logan Temple! I never thought that this is where I would be.
This blog-spot started out to be something totally different but now you know how I feel about where I am.
P.S. You are all invited to come and visit Mott's Bird Farm any time you want. It takes excatly two hours and twenty minutes from moms house. So calculate from there. It is a pretty drive especially if you go through Clarkston(which you have to for a few months) or through Logan.

Boys Bugers and Bodily Functions

I don't know what it is with these three things but they just seem to go hand in hand. Last night Mike and I were watching a movie together when Ben showed up. He was really quiet at first, but since we didn't kick him out right away he thought he was safe to be himself. First he tells me to move over, and then makes himself comfortable. Then he decides he wants the middle so he tells dad to move over. Mike moved closer to me and thwarted that plan, so of course he comes back to my side (moms are a little more lienient, did i spell that right sister teachers?) As i was enjoying the movie Ben put his finger under my nose and said mom smell this. Whoa! what is it, said I. It's a buger, do ya wanna eat it? MMMM, how about i save it for the after movie snack...sick ben, no i don't want to eat your buger! The day before that he went poop in the toilet (and there was much rejoicing in the land) and I hear him say mom you gotta see this, it is really cool. Ben it's poop. ya mom it's really cool. I can only imagine what is going to happen when he becomes a teenager.

Camping stories

When we would go camping I was often tired from getting off work or setting up camp. When you as young kids would ask for a bedtime story I often thought of the "spooky" stories that I could tell but didn't want you to be up all night and keep Mom and I awake as you sometimes did anyway. So I tried to tell the story of Hansel and Gretel which if you read Grimms fairy tales is kind of a scary story. I remember my mother telling me the story when I was young and it seemed to be different than the book of fairy tales that we had. So I figured that I could make it fit between Grimms version and some of the other versions that I had read and seen on tv. Telling it differently came about because I would forget how I told it the first time and would change things a bit sometimes to see if you were paying attention.
You have to blame your Grandmother Elma for the Jack and Nori story. She used to tell me that when she sent me to bed and I would want a bedtime story. Most of the time that was all I got as I figure she was tired or didn't want to read a story to me at the time. But she used to tell us pretty spooky stories the few times that we went camping as a family, I remember it scaring my Dad. She always wanted to write her stories but never did that I have found.
I just hope that you tell your kids stories when you go camping or put them to bed, as you can see it made an impression on you. I just wish I would have told you other stories. course then you wouldn't have remembered Hansel and Gretel or Jack and Nori.
Love Dad

ok, there is what i consider a pretty good reason why you don't get many comments from me. you may not consider it a valid reason, but here goes.

i try to comment, type in appropriate letters and id and it doesn't work, so i try again and again same results.
i type the same info that is required to do this and gosh darn it, it works! go figure.

anyway, my point is i do try. i know i am not the most sought after commenter but i do like to stay in touch with people.

Two reasons...

I want to ditto Jenns comments, and sorry they are late. Though it's never too late to receive a complement right? One of my favorite memories from growing up is going to different caves or spalunking as i just found out that is called. And all the fun road trips we went on. I remember waking up or actually being woke up before the sun was up and heading out on vacation. And our blue family van, and hangin out in the "back, back." I think Hansel and Gretal was my favorite story for two reasons (ha, ha) first because it was tradition, and second because it was different every time. Dad I love you so much. Thank you for the faith you shared with me, your example, and love. Ben wants to add a few thoughts...benbenmakaylabene (he did that all by himself, he even spelled them by himself! We love you dad!

Happy Fathers Day!!

I would just like to say Happy Fathers day to you DAD. Thank you for all you have done for me. The help for when my kids are sick, the memories of fun vacations we went on when we were younger especially the cave trips ie.. Lehman Caves, Carsbad Caverns. Also Yellowstone, and the many camping trips.
Thank you for teaching us many things about life and the gospel. Telling us storys at night, one of my favorites is (well I have 2), 1st is about Jack Anori(im not sure on the spelling) and 2nd is Hansel and Gretel.
Thank you for everything.

Summer Fun!!!

Ok, it is summer time and we are off and running. Last week the kids had there last day of school(may23) and it was Ivans Birthday (36)and last but definatly not least we drove to Vernal via Wyoming(7 hours). It was the Wardell reunion, we had a nice time. Then the kids and I spent the week out there helping Connie with 3 of Nichole's kids, she just had #5 two weeks ago his name is Dash, he is very cute and lots of long dark hair. and getting ready for Weston's wedding that was on Saturday 31st. The wedding was very nice, her dress was very pretty and it was very beatiful weather for a wedding.
Now we(me and the kids) are home and Ivan is in Dallas until Wednesday. On Saturday I fly to Georgia to visit some friends. The kids will be staying at moms for the week(thurs). Then when I get home the 20th we go back out to Vernal for another reunion. We hope to get a sprinkling system into the back yard sometime in there. Our plan is to have a nice flat back yard with grass you can walk on. Our fruit trees that we planted last year have fruit on them. I hope that the birds don't eat them before they get to big. well I just realized that I haven't written my newsletter page so I better not write any more. But I hope Everyone has a GREAT summer.
